Ok... What can I say here??? My name is Kris. I'm a Phoenix native and went to high school in Mesa. I was away for a few years while I was serving in the Air Force stationed in Florida. I've been back now for the last 3 years. I fell in love with the fire service while I was in the military (I was a volunteer firefighter during that time) and I recently became a paramedic. I hope to be a firefighter someday. I am very close to my family, especially my twin brother. I have varied interests, but I'm a big history buff, especially on The Civil War time period, and on black history. I also love music, especially heavy metal. That's right, I'm a die-hard metalhead. That's a huge part of my personality and it won't be changin anytime soon. My twin brother is a drummer in an alternative rock band and my mom used to sing for an R&B band so music is a huge part of my life (even though I'm too stupid to learn an instrument myself and too shy to sing in front of people lol). Favorite bands: Opeth, Alice In Chains, Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, Bloodbath, The Black Dahlia Murder, Nile, Deftones, Sevendust, Slayer, Metallica, Pantera, and many others. I also like old school R&B (The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, The Isley Brothers, Marvin Gaye, Barry White, Boys II Men, R. Kelly, Will Downing, etc.) If my musical tastes seem weird it's because my dad grew me up on metal and my mom grew me up on R&B. Strange, I know... Favorite Movies: The Boondock Saints, Sweeny Todd, The Crow, Star Wars, TMNT (the old one from 1990), Backdraft, Ladder 49, Metal: A Headbanger's Journey, Wayne's World, SLC Punk, Ace Ventura, Dumb and Dumber, Clerks 2, Inside Job, Gettysburg, The Civil War (1985 Ken Burns documentary), Lincoln. I'm looking first and foremost for a girl who, aside from being attractive, is also NOT judgemental and will let me be who I am. Also want to find a girl that I have some things in common with and can actually be friends with. As you've probably guessed by now I'm a black man who loves heavy metal music, and as such, I do NOT fit any of the common stereotypes of black men. If you're looking for the kinda guy who talks in slang all the time, acts like some kinda wanna-be thug, and wears clothes three sizes too big, look elsewhere because that is not my style. I should also say that one thing I'm absolutely NOT looking for is a hook-up. Been there, done that, and I'm done with it. I'm not too picky about a first date. Just be warned I'm probably the worst dancer who ever walked the earth. Hahaha! I think the best first date would be a concert. Or hell, it's summer and it's hot. Why not go to a water park or to a lake and rent jet skis. That would be fun. Or we could do something as simple as hitting a dive bar for a drink or two.
